ITV Emmerdale fans spot Ray’s huge ‘mistake’ as April plot takes sickening turn

Emmerdale has been airing harrowing scenes involving teenager April Windsor

Emmerdale fans were quick to spot Ray Walters’ huge ‘mistake’ on Monday’s episode.

Only recently, April Windsor and her boyfriend Dylan Penders have found themselves controlled by Ray and his mother Celia Daniels as they pay off their supposed “debts”, which is actually all a scam to groom them into dealing drugs.

As things get even more sinister, Friday’s episode delivered harrowing scenes. During the episode, Ray told April that he was sending her on another job, pressuring her into taking the job or he’ll sell her debt on.

Ray drove April to a hotel, giving her cocaine for a ‘valuable client’ and telling her to have a drink.

As April nervously arrived, Ray’s creepy client, Tim, was left delighted as he accepted the cocaine and tried to pressure April into taking the drug, as well as having vodka. Soon April found herself trapped in a bedroom with Tim…

Thankfully, a quick thinking April managed to escape just in time but it wasn’t long until Celia caught up with her and gaslit her over the incident.

On Monday’s episode, Marlon Dingle attempted to get his relationship with daughter April back on track but she instead stormed off.

This prompted Bob Hope to suggest that perhaps Marlon check up on April via her boyfriend Dylan instead.

Meanwhile, April faced Ray for the first time since running away on Friday as he exerted pressure on her to go through with the job next time, whether she likes it or not.

Later, Marlon decided to ask Dylan about April, who assured him everything is fine but Marlon was still left curious. In a bid of getting close to his daughter again, he offered Dylan some shifts at the Woolpack kitchen.

Taking to Twitter, now X, soap watchers were quick to share their frustration about the dark storyline as well as Ray’s huge ‘mistake’ which could lead to his downfall.

One person said: “#emmerdale The fact that Ray is always creeping round the village chatting to the youngsters doesn’t seem to be ringing any alarm bells….”

To which a different account put: “#emmerdale how come no one sees Ray speaking to April! Looks well suss!”

Elsewhere, another commented: “Ray again talking to a young girl in the middle of the village and no one thinks it’s in the least bit creepy and strange.#Emmerdale”.
