Coronation Street fans think they have figure out Becky Swain’s ‘hidden’ move as they fear for what it could do to Carla Connor.

Those who follow the ITV soap know that the Underworld factory boss hasn’t been left feeling very secure in her relationship with fiancee Lisa Swain following her former partner’s return.

Fans saw Becky make a shock arrival in Weatherfield back in September, four years after Lisa and their daughter, Betsy, believed she had died in the line of duty.

It was fair to say that Lisa was shocked when Becky turned up in the living room of her new family home, No.6 Coronation Street, on Betsy’s 18th birthday – which had already faced its own drama after the birthday gril was almost involved in a hit and run.

While an emotional Lisa was unable to figure out if what was happening was real, Carla returned home to the surprise, as Becky explained that she had been in Spain under another name, having been put into witness protection, following an undercover operation gone wrong.

Emotional confrontations followed, with Lisa even going to her boss, DI Costello, to find out the truth, only for him to corroborate Becky’s version of events.

More recently, while Carla was away in Ireland for a family funeral, Becky tried to get closer to Lisa, but Carla’s swift arrival home put a spanner in the works.

However, on Friday (October 31) Becky made her move on Lisa, kissing her before being rejected by her ex-wife, after Carla stormed out of the Rovers’ Halloween party after seeing a video of Lisa enjoying time with Becky and Betsy in their home while she was away.

It was then during Monday’s (November 3) episode of Corrie, Carla was seen telling Lisa that it’s only a matter of time before Becky gets her claws into her.

While Lisa was quick to assure her that’s not true, Carla was sceptical and was later seen fretting to her nephew, Ryan Connor about whether Lisa would go back to her ex.

Later, having been summoned by Carla, a wary Becky arrived at No.6, where Carla was quick to spell out that she has no part to play in Lisa’s future, and that her old life doesn’t exit anymore.

Not backing down, Becky asserted that Lisa still loves her and that she can see it in her eyes. Carla was clearly irked and quickly saw Becky out. But she was later back at No.6, this time talking to Lisa suggesting if Carla wasn’t around, they’ soon be back together.

But Corrie fans were sure that Becky has been listening in on Lisa and Carla’s conversations thanks to her comments.

@Kym1379421 replied: “She’s possibly recording conversations. Maybe even editing them to suit her agenda. To play to Carla at some point. Wouldn’t put anything past her. After all she shows all the signs of a psychopath with subtype narcissism. There’s only 1 outcome for her, to get what she wants.”

@missmollybruton commented: “Oh so Becky’s bugged No.6 then… ‘If she wasn’t around…you don’t have to say it, it’s enough for me just to know’. HOW DO YOU KNOW????? And using that very specific wording that…the same that Carla used the night before?? That can’t just be coincidence?”

@LanaKlaineSWEN replied: “Oh she has defo planted bugs 100% there is no way she said that line the exact way Carla said it as a coincidence.” @LadyLancashire1 suggested: “That is why we have the bedroom set? Scene of her watching them and listening in.”
