Over the past few weeks, Lisa has been trying to come to terms with Becky’s return. Betsy has also been swept into the emotional turmoil as she discovered the mum she thought was dead for the last four years was actually alive and in hiding.

Coronation Street fans were quick to realise Becky’s true intentions as she wants to get her family back, pushing Carla Connor out the picture.

Earlier this week, Carla went on a trip to Ireland, but was concerned about leaving her new fiancée with he ex-wife. Carla admitted she was having second thoughts about her trip. Lisa questioned Carla’s trust, but reassured her she loves her and has no interest in Becky.

However, Becky and Lisa went on to have a cosy moment as they tried on Betsy’s costumes for her fashion project. Her mums posed for the cameras together as Betsy captured the moment on her phone.

But Becky was shocked when she learned Betsy posted the video onto social media. Worried her secret would be out, she ordered Betsy to delete the post, and the teenager headed out for the night.

Friday’s jam-packed episode opened with Lisa searching for her daughter after she disappeared for the evening. It was later revealed she was taken into questioning at the police station for resisting arrest.

An officer interviewed Betsy and told her that according to DI Costello, she damaged a police car, resisted arrest and then tried to attack him. Betsy refused to comment.

Meanwhile, Costello met up with Becky and spelled out that she needs to disappear again or it will be worse for Betsy. Revealing his plan, the detective told Becky: “You need to disappear again, soon. If not DS Swain will have a lot more to worry about than her daughter sitting in a cell for a couple of hours.”

Viewers rushed to social media in agreement with Costello, as soap fans are eager for Becky not to out stay her welcome in the Connor-Swain household.

On X, many “Swarla” fans urged Becky to “disappear again.” One said: “You need to disappear again, soon!” I COULDN’T AGREE MORE SEND HER BACK TO ALICANTE I BEG!”

A second agreed with Costello: “Same DI Costello, Becky needs to disappear!!!” A third said: “Costello telling Becky she needs to disappear again I couldn’t agree more!” A fourth added: “For once I agree with Costello. You need to disappear again, Becky!”

As the tense episode came to a close, Becky revealed to Costello she will disappear and return to Spain under one condition- Becky and Lisa need to come too.
