Former Coronation Street actress Beverley Callard was forced to “run” out of her home. The soap star is renowned for her role as Liz McDonald on the cobbles, a character she portrayed from 1989 – 2020. As part of the new series of “Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted”, Beverley and her partner John invited cameras into their home after noticing some disturbing interactions.

Beverley and John live in a 19th century converted barn house in Norfolk. A team of paranormal experts visited the property after the couple reported a series of interactions resembling spiritual activity, from suspended glowing objects, unexplained pungent floral scent and visions of speckled red lights overnight.
As Beverley and John re-watched a clip from their home CCTV showing small unidentifiable objects floating around their barn, the Coronation Street actress told the cameras: “Since that moment I have not been back to the barn at all, and there’s no way I’m going in there now!”.

Beverly’s daughter refuses to visit her mum at the house, as she is terrified of what is happening. The actress shared: “She’s never coming ever again till she knows what it is! She said ‘mum that’s it – you come to me from now on!’”
Beverley also explained how she and John can regularly smell a strong perfume-like scent in their home. She said: “Please don’t be a grey lady who’s wearing perfume or something because I will faint with fear!”
The couple were seeking an explanation for the numerous bumps in the night they had experienced.
The Help! My House Is Haunted team is made up of psychic medium Ian Lawman, paranormal researcher and historian Jayne Harris, and investigator Barri Ghai. They arrived at the property to analyse the signs of the paranormal.
Arriving at the property, and starting his investigation, Ian was initially pulled to the barn. He said: “There’s just a coldness to it that goes through your bones, which means that there’s certainly some spiritual activity here.”

He immediately tuned into a negative aura with a heavy masculine presence. He questioned: “But why would he be here?”
Meanwhile, Callard’s husband shared a memorable night their security camera detected movement and caused the alarm to ring out loudly. He said: “That camera still doesn’t work till this day.”
Beverley was unsure what to do about the activity, sharing she was frightened for her own safety. After working night shifts, Beverley would often have an afternoon nap. But she would be distracted by the sound of someone walking around her loft, despite knowing no one else was home.
The team decided to try the practise of pendulum dowsing at the kitchen table which is a “traditional form of divination”. Beverley sat at the kitchen table holding a crystal attached to a swinging pendulum, in an attempt to communicate with any spirits present via the pendulum.
In horrifying scenes, Beverley’s temperature rapidly increased, sending her into a shocking “transfiguration”. Ian had to swiftly snap her out of, calling to her to open her eyes.
Beverley asked: “Can I run out of here!?” as the team excused her from any further involvement in the investigation. The eerie moment is captured as part of the new series of “Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted”
