The professional dancer, 36, is currently competing in the BBC hit show alongside Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope.
The pair returned to the dance floor for the second live show on Saturday night (October 4) and delivered the Viennese Waltz to Lose Control by Teddy Swims.
They received a score of 27 from the judges, placing them second on the overall leaderboard. The week held extra significance for Katya as her niece and father were present in the studio, supporting the duo, reports Wales Online.
Beyond the dance studio, the star also managed to fit in some precious family time as she revealed she’d experienced a “jam packed week”.
In an extensive post, the dancer began by explaining: “Last week was extra special. I was able to welcome my niece ( and my dad, but he’s been coming every year) and host her here in London. I wanted to make it super memorable for her and create magical memories for her.”
Offering her followers a glimpse into their adventures together, she went on: “Apart from exploring London whilst I was working during the day, we had a jam packed week.
“Started off with the Lady Gaga concert at the @theo2london . Honestly, seeing her jumping from joy and singing every single lyrics from every song – has made my heart smile. She looked at me and said – one day it will be performing on that stage.”
