Coronation Street fans have been left issuing a demand to bosses as they fear for another couple’s future following Abi and Kevin Webster’s split.

Those who follow the ITV soap have recently seen Abi call time on her marriage to Kevin, with her having a secret affair with his half-brother, Carl Webster, who only arrived in Weatherfield for the first time earlier this year.

Despite Kev’s suspicions, Abi denied that a relationship with Carl was the reason behind her decision, with the truth finally coming out during Wednesday’s (October 8) episode of Corrie, as the Websters and the Baileys celebrated Ronnie’s birthday.

Meanwhile, in the same visit to Weatherfield, viewers saw Tim spending time with a former flame. Earlier this week, cab driver Tim was seen picking up a fare from Freshco, whom he instantly recognised as Trisha Parkinson, someone he knew in the 1980s.

She went to the pub later on and told him that she’d always had his number before giving him a kiss on the cheek. When Kev quizzed Tim on the mystery woman, and whether they’d actually slept together, Tim said: “I’m not gonna go through all the gory details with you! Alright Kev?”

Trisha later visited Tim at Street Cars, bringing him his favourite pasty. As she was hanging around, Tim introduced her to Brian Packham, who was quickly taken in by the newcomer, before Sally arrived and gave her a frosty reception, after Tim missed their anniversary meal while getting reacquainted with the woman from his past.

When Brian later asked how they knew each other, Tim explained that he used to deliver papers to her dad, and that she worked in the local corner shop, and they often had bunk ups.

However, when Tim revealed that she was 20 at the time, while he was only 14 and that she was who he lost his virginity to, Brian was left horrified. Tim made out that it gained him popularity among his peers

But when Brian explained that it was actually grooming as he was a minor. Tim didn’t appear to accept that was the case, while Brian tried to argue that what she did was a form of abuse.

While spoilers have already confirmed that Tim will open up to Sally about his relationship with Trisha, some Corrie fans are already worried for the couple’s future and have demanded they stay together.
