Emmerdale star Danny Miller has sparked rumours that his character, Aaron Dingle, could feature heavily in the highly anticipated crossover episode with fellow ITV soap Coronation Street.
The crossover is set to air in the new year, and will mark a big change in schedules for both soaps.
Corrie and Emmerdale will air 30-minute instalments from Monday to Friday, one after the other, creating what show bosses are dubbing a ‘soap power hour’.
This will result in both soaps airing one less episode compared to their current output.
When the changes were first announced, it was teased that they would be marked by a big stunt, before news of the crossover was revealed.
Now, both soaps are currently in the middle of filming this epic event, and fans are keen to know which characters will be at the centre of the drama.

This week, Danny Miller took to Instagram stories to share a video, where he revealed that he had finished a night shoot at 5am, before taking his daughter to dance class at 10am.
Judging by the promo picture for Corriedale that was published last week, it seems as though at least some of the crossover episode will take place at night, which would explain the night shoots…
Not to mention the fact that a wanted poster of John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) was spotted in the background of a scene in the Weatherfield police station during a recent Corrie episode.

This has sparked rumours among fans that John’s storyline could be a major part of the crossover.
This would be an interesting development, given that actor Oliver Farnworth previously appeared on Coronation Street as Andy Carver. Cue plenty of ‘you look familiar’ lines!
With Aaron having been heavily involved in that story, and Danny currently hard at work, it looks like Aaron may be set to appear in the crossover episode, which is going to be ‘unmissable’, if Corrie producer Kate Brooks’ word is anything to go by!
‘It will be unmissable, that’s all I’m going to say! It’s very exciting. A lot of hard work has gone into making it brilliant,’ she told me at the Cure Usher Ball.
I also chatted to plenty of Emmerdale stars at the event, who were full of praise and excitement for the episodes.
‘I have not seen the scripts, but I’ve heard they’re amazing!’ Belle Dingle actress Eden Taylor-Draper told me, while Mandy Dingle icon Lisa Riley said: ‘I’ve actually seen some of the footage! That’s all I’m going to say to you. It’s going to be wow. It’s really good for both shows, that amalgamation, the merging of the programs. It’s going to be exciting.’
Meanwhile, Coronation Street star Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Dee-Dee Bailey, revealed that she’s seen the scripts for the episode.
‘It’s going to be really exciting,’ she said. ‘It’s going to look brilliant. I think it’s a really exciting thing for soap fans and it will be great for both the shows, so stay tuned!’
According to The Sun, David Platt star Jack P Shepherd has already been confirmed to be a part of the episode.

‘We get to work with all the Emmerdale lot shortly, it’s exciting. There’s only a few of us in it and luckily I’m one of them,’ Jack told the publication.
Fans are also speculating that Corrie’s Lisa Swain could play a big part in the special episode, after actress Vicky Myers let slip to me that she was getting a train back to Leeds during our chat at the Inside Soap Awards.
This would also fit with the theory that John’s story will feature in the episode, with DS Swain lending a helping hand in catching the killer.
There have also been rumours circulating social media that fans have spotted Alison King and Kate Ford, who play Carla Connor and Tracy Barlow, out and about in the city, where Emmerdale is filmed, though how they will fit into the episode is yet to be discovered.
