Coronation Street’s Catherine Tyldesley Reunites With Former Co-Star After 30 Years — Fans Can’t Handle the Nostalgia!

Coronation Street favourite Catherine Tyldesley has disclosed a genuine real-life bond with her fellow cast member as she makes her comeback to the cobbles.

The 42-year-old star is returning to her part as Eva Price on the ITV programme and is presently shooting footage, though her scenes have yet to be broadcast.

Eva made her debut in 2011 and was last seen in Weatherfield in 2018, but she’s heading back as the fresh licensee of The Rovers Return, and she’s not coming back solo.

The landlady arrives with her other half, Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker), along with his mum, Maggie (Pauline McLynn).

In advance of her highly-anticipated return, Catherine has posted a behind-the-scenes photograph with James Cartwright, the actor who portrays Theo Silverton, reports the Daily Star.

The duo are pictured standing on the pub set in their character costumes as Eva and Theo, though this marks far from the first encounter between the two performers.

Catherine has unveiled her decades-long friendship with James, which started when the pair first crossed paths as 13 year olds.

Accompanying the heartwarming image, Catherine wrote: “This one! We first met at theatre school age 13! Now we’re both in Weatherfield!”.

“Lovely to be reunited with my old Pal James. A wonderful man and a stellar actor! Ooooooh Theo- you nasty pasty!!!.”

Corrie viewers were quick to respond to the snapshot, with one fan remarking: “Fantastic actor, he has me and my daughter screaming at our TV, hahaha. Oi, Theo, leave our Todd alone, lol.

“Nasty villain award, well deserved, for James, next time round. Can’t wait until you hit our screens again, Catherine, hope it’s not too long now, beautiful lady.”

Another viewer commented: “Big fan of his dad. Great playwright. This chap seems like a jolly fellow. From The Archers to The Rovers. Good luck to him.”

A third fan wrote: “Lovely Photo love them both xxxxxxxxx”, whilst a fourth person remarked: “Can’t wait for you to come back, miss you.”

Corrie bosses are yet to announce Catherine’s exact return date.

Nevertheless, it seems she will encounter Theo, who has been inflicting terrible domestic abuse upon Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce).
