Coronation Street‘s Theo Silverton torments his partner Todd Grimshaw next week by cruelly inviting another man to stay the night. And the guy in question is a familiar face for soap fans, as former Hollyoaks star Andrew Hayden-Smith lands a guest role.
With tensions and secrets between the couple at an all-time high, Theo twists his betrayal to blame his struggling boyfriend – but how will Todd react?

And with Todd still terrified that he might have bowel cancer, will this heap more misery on his shoulders at such a difficult time?
“Todd’s scared he’s going to die, and he can’t even confide in Theo,” points out our Corrie insider. “He’s never needed love and support more, but the fact he’s unable to tell Theo says it all. And Theo makes him suffer for it!”
The next dark turn in Todd and Theo’s relationship comes as Todd waits in secret for his bowel cancer test results, without having said a word to his partner. But Todd’s behaviour causes concern for George Shuttleworth, when his colleague reveals that he’s going to start putting together a plan for his own funeral.
After a nudge from Christina Boyd, George snoops through Todd’s emails, and he eventually finds a hospital appointment. Wanting to show Todd his unwavering support, George shows up to the ward just before Todd heads in to see the doctor for the results…
“Back on the cobbles, Theo suspects Todd is hiding something,” reveals our spy. “He swerves a business meeting with Gary Windass and a guy called Pete to confront Billy. But all Todd’s ex can do is squirm…”
In the Bistro, Theo zones out of the meeting to eavesdrop on Billy. He watches him take a call from Todd and dash outside. Left behind, Theo is seething but puts on a front and orders shots.
The next day, Todd heads home hungover to face the music with Theo. He apologises for staying the night with Billy, promising that nothing happened.
But as Todd tries to explain himself, his business associate Pete – played by Andrew – emerges from the bathroom in just a dressing gown. Todd is horrified and confronts Theo – has he cheated?
“Theo is brazen and unrepentant,” our insider warns. “He turns it all around on Todd, accusing him of sneaking around too. But Todd’s had enough and orders him to pack his bags.”
Has Todd finally escaped Theo’s vicious control? Or will Theo come up with another manipulative way to get back in his good books?
Andrew Hayden-Smith previously played villainous police detective Gavin Armstrong on Hollyoaks in 2016 and 2017. He’s also known for his roles on Byker Grove, Doctor Who, Cucumber and Banana.
