Emmerdale actor drops clue he’s left soap after ‘unemployed’ remark
A star on Emmerdale has seemingly confirmed their future on the soap
An Emmerdale star has appeared to confirm they have left the soap after a cryptic comment.
Joe Absolom made his debut earlier this year as bad guy Ray Waters – and it didn’t take the character long to cause some drama in the famous village. As viewers will know, he has trapped youngsters April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) in the dangerous world of crime, child prostitution and drugs.
At first, it was just Dylan working for dangerous dealer Ray. However, soon enough, April was lured into the dodgy industry and took on jobs for Ray after he decided she could be useful.

What’s more, in a shocking twist, it was revealed that not only was Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) in charge of the whole operation and but she was also Ray’s adoptive mother. The vile pair have since been making April and Dylan’s lives hell.
And in recent scenes, April accidentally killed a man named Callum (Max Lohan), who had paid Ray and Celia to spend the night with the youngster. Having to fight for her life, April panicked and smacked Callum across the head with a bottle of vodka.
However, it appears that villain Ray’s time in the village could be coming to an end soon after actor Joe recently dropped a ‘clue’.
On Wednesday (November 5) Joe appeared on ITV’s Lorraine to discuss all things Emmerdale. The conversation soon turned to the topic of being an actor.

Reflecting on his career, Joe said: “I sort of drift between employment and unemployment. But I’m good at being unemployed so it’s ok.”
He also revealed that one of his children is keen to pursue a career in acting. Joe admitted: “Part of me wants them to have a proper job, like have a Christmas party, have fun things to do.”
Then appearing to confirm his current job status at Emmerdale, Joe added: “As a self-unemployed actor it’s very boring!”
The former EastEnders star went on to discuss job security when it comes to being in the acting profession. He shared: “Whenever you get to the end of the job, you think you’ll never work again.
“And then you get another job and you think ‘great’ and you relax for a little bit, then as that job finishes and you go ‘I’m never going to work again’ and it’s sort of like a weird cycle I’m in.”
