Ryan Connor returned to the Connor-Swain household after a trip to Ireland

Coronation Street viewers all said the same thing as Ryan Connor returned to screens on Monday. It’s been a busy time for the Connor-Swain household following the unexpected arrival of Lisa’s ex Becky. Things went from bad to worse for Carla when Becky decided to make a move last week.

With Ryan attending a family funeral over in Ireland, fans were hoping he would soon return to support his auntie Carla. The Underworld boss has been struggling to come to terms with their new way of life, with Betsy’s other mum lurking around at every spare moment.

Ryan returned on Monday, entering the house, shouting: “Top o’ the mornin’ to ya.” But he soon realised the tone of the household was no longer as joyful as when he left.

Moments after Ryan appeared on TV screens, Coronation Street viewers couldn’t help but notice his glowing tan. After supposedly spending some time on the Emerald Isle, soap fans couldn’t help but joke about his tan.

Taking to social media, one fan said: “Did Ireland have a summer recently? Ryan has come back with a tan.” A second said: “Has Ryan on #Corrie just returned from Ireland? The tan on him.”

A third said: “Looks like Ryan got a 2 week all inclusive trip to THE SUN!!!” while a fourth added to the conversation on X: “I’m not sure what part of the country Ryan was in to arrive back with a tan like that.”

More added to the conversation on social media: “Bloody hell Ryan how warm was Ireland in October”, “Must be really sunny in Ireland just now, judging by Ryan’s tan” while another commented orange emojis.

While his character on the soap was in Ireland, in real life Ryan Prescott jetted off to Vancouver with his co-star Mikey North, who plays Gary Windass.

In a post on Instagram, Ryan shared a carousel of snaps highlighting their enjoyable time spent together travelling in Canada. The two actors had a brilliant time away as they posted several snaps of them chatting over a glass of red wine, hiking up a mountain and watching a breathtaking sunset.

Ryan captioned the post with heartwarming words as he requested a “one way ticket”. He wrote: “Next time…one way ticket please. Loved Vancouver, truly one of the best cities I’ve experienced, with the pleasure of great company including the man, the myth, the legend, Mikey North.

“Big shout out and warmest thanks to @mymothersbloomers for all the laughs. And a massive thank you Vancouver for that good old famous Canadian hospitality I’d heard so much about…second to none x.”

Fans rushed to the comments on the post to show their excitement over the soap stars’ joint trip away from the cobbles. One fan said: “We loved having you here, please come back!!” while a second wrote: “Looking fab lads.”

A third said: “2 of my fave Corrie actors right there.” A fourth wrote: “Loving the pics!! hope you had the best time” and another added: “Looks fabulous Ryan, now get back to the street auntie Carla needs you.”
