Coronation Street fans make ‘bring back’ demand after Carla Connor observation

It came as she expressed her concerns about leaving her fiancée, Lisa Swain, alone with her ex-wife in the ITV soap

Coronation Street fans have issued a ‘bring back’ demand after making an observation about Carla Connor as she expressed her concerns about leaving her fiancée, Lisa Swain, alone with her ex-wife.

Those who follow the ITV soap, and particularly those who are fans of the couple, affectionately known as Swarla, were delighted when Carla and Lisa moved into their first home together, No.6, before getting engaged.

However, things were quickly thrown up in the air when Lisa’s ex-wife made a shock comeback into her life in September, four years after she was believed to have died in the line of duty.

It was fair to say that Lisa was shocked when Becky turned up in the living room of her family home, No.6 Coronation Street, on their daughter, Betsy’s, 18th birthday.

As an emotional Lisa was unable to figure out if what was happening was real, Becky explained that she had been in Spain under another name, having been put into witness protection, following an undercover operation gone wrong.

Lisa’s boss, DI Costello, then confirmed Becky’s version of events when confronted by her, unable to believe that he would watch her and her daughter grieve for all these years while knowing the truth.

Becky has since been trying to worm her way back into having her previous family life, not shy of knocking Carla’s nose out of joint.

It was during the latest trip to the cobbles on Monday (October 13) that Carla was seen packing to head to Ireland following the death of a family member.

Lisa confirmed she’d be gone for a few weeks, with the Underworld factory boss sharing her concerns about Becky being around. While Lisa tried to reassure her partner, Carla was seen speaking to Roy Cropper, following their recent falling out, and requested he keep an eye on Lisa and Becky.

But the scenes left Corrie fans demanding a return of Carla’s feisty side – and predicting it may be on the horizon. @raq91x said: “Get a black box dye and silver hoops back on ar Carla’s head so we can all watch her drag abysmal Becky down the cobbles please and thanks.”
